Xandeum Update: Progress Toward STOINC

Hello Xandeum community!

We are happy to share the latest progress on our project. The focus right now is on STOINC (Storage Income), Xandeum’s formula-based model for distributing storage fees to pNode operators. Here is a clear overview of what is happening.

Mainnet Is Live Xandeum successfully launched on Mainnet at the start of the year. This was a major milestone. The network is now fully operational in the real world. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!

STOINC – Storage Income Is Our Top Priority

STOINC is designed to distribute rewards in SOL (lamports) from fees paid by apps that use Xandeum storage. More than 90% of these fees are planned for pNode-side distribution.

Your rewards will depend on several factors:

  • The amount of storage your pNode provides
  • Your pNode’s performance score
  • Boost NFTs you own and have assigned
  • When you purchased your pNode license
  • Whether you are also running a pNode on DevNet (this gives an extra boost)

Running a pNode is open to anyone (permissionless). However, to receive the full reward boost, you need a pNode license.

Each pNode first receives its own pNode Boost Factor. This is calculated by multiplying the boost multipliers of all NFTs assigned to that specific pNode. If one pNode has two assigned NFTs with boost multipliers of 1.2× and 1.5×, that pNode’s Boost Factor is 1.2 × 1.5 = 1.8×. After each pNode’s individual Boost Factor is calculated, wallet/operator-level aggregation is handled by the final backend/protocol implementation and should not be treated as a confirmed aggregation formula unless separately confirmed. Unboosted pNodes use 1.0×.

Current backend program code enforces up to 2 assigned NFT boost slots per pNode. This may change in future NFT sales or protocol updates, but current STOINC examples should assume 2 slots per pNode. Wallet/operator pNode caps are still under implementation review and should not be treated as confirming a final 12-pNode cap.

Important: STOINC calculations are formula-based estimates. Actual results depend on final implementation, assigned NFTs, active pNodes, storage contribution, performance, protocol parameters, and future governance updates.

We have built a working prototype of STOINC and are now testing it carefully. Safety and reliability are most important, so STOINC will be released only after the implementation is ready for broader use.

Staking XAND Tokens to pNodes

The team is working toward direct XAND staking to pNodes. This staking is expected to affect STOINC calculations under the final rules. Each pNode operator may be able to set their own reward rate, for example a certain number of lamports per XAND staked per Yuga.

What Is a Yuga?

A Yuga is the time period we use for our pNode network. It lasts about 2.8 days. This is different from Solana epochs because Xandeum’s storage layer is a ledgerless network with its own consensus mechanism based on Merkle roots. These Merkle roots are securely logged (trust-anchored) to both Solana and Bitcoin every Yuga. Anchoring to Bitcoin adds the highest level of trust and verifiability.

pNode Management Portal

We are finalizing a new portal intended to make pNode management easier.

With the portal, you will be able to:

  • Manage and fix key pair issues
  • De-register old or duplicate keys
  • Assign your Boost NFTs to your pNode license
  • Choose a manager to run the pNode for you (perfect if you want to invest without operating it yourself)

Managers can set their own commission rates. This creates a clear and fair system for everyone involved.

Airdrop 2 and Reward Seasons

Work on Airdrop 2 is progressing. We are close to finalizing the distribution list using the new formula approved by the DAO. The community has suggested pausing future airdrops temporarily to discuss the best long-term approach. We welcome this idea and will open discussions in the forum soon.

Reward Season 4 is currently open – please claim your rewards if you have not already. Reward Season 5 will focus only on xandSOL staking.

Looking Ahead: Pilot Customers and Growth

We are in talks with potential pilot customers who need truly unstoppable storage for important operational data – especially in industries where deplatforming is a real concern. Unlike archival-only solutions, Xandeum supports live, updatable data with a full file system. Our Merkle root anchoring to Bitcoin gives customers extra confidence that their data is secure and verifiable.

The team is working in parallel on several important areas: STOINC rollout, XAND staking to pNodes, the management portal, airdrop improvements, and customer onboarding. STOINC distributions are expected to depend on utilization and final protocol parameters.

Thank You for Your Support

Xandeum is moving forward quickly. Mainnet is live, and STOINC is moving toward broader usage-driven distribution for pNode operators.

We value your feedback. Please share your thoughts on Discord, in the DAO forum, or in community channels. Your ideas help shape the future.
