Xandeum’s pNode Store Unveiled: First Look at Dutch Auction and NFTs

Xandeum’s pNode Store is live. CEO Bernie Blume gave a first look at the pNode Store and 3D-rendered NFTs for the upcoming Dutch Auction, launching September 6, 2025. With 49 Deep South Era pNodes available, assigned NFTs can affect each pNode’s STOINC Boost Factor. Following the Munich release and Rare Evo 2025, these final Deep South pNodes give more community members a way to participate in the storage network.

Why Act Now? Key Benefits for the Community

Getting a pNode during DevNet can support mainnet readiness. If you join now, you may receive support from the Xandeum Foundation, including stake delegation of XAND to your pNode for STOINC participation. Waiting for permissionless mode means you may operate without the same delegation support, and unboosted pNodes use a 1.0× boost factor. Deep South pNodes include era-based boost logic, and assigned NFTs can affect the pNode’s Boost Factor. Current backend program code enforces up to 2 NFT boost slots per pNode, with NFT boosts multiplying within each pNode before final wallet/operator aggregation rules are applied.

Munich Release: Storage Layer Progress

Unveiled at Rare Evo 2025, the Munich release (v0.3) delivered a functional pNode prototype for file hosting on Xandeum’s storage layer. Built with Xandeum Web3.js, a thin layer atop Solana’s Web3.js, Munich supports development for storage-enabled applications. The updated XandMiner GUI, powered by Xandeum Pod software, provides pNode performance stats. At the time of the original update, the community DevNet had 133 of 300 pNodes upgraded.

pNode Store and Dutch Auction: Grab Your Boost

The pNode Store, live at pnodestore.xandeum.network, is your gateway to the Dutch Auction, starting September 6, 2025. As revealed, 49 Deep South Era pNodes are available, each with era-based STOINC boost logic, as detailed in our STOINC page. Early bidders can secure NFTs with multipliers: Titan (11×, $4,900 USDC + 490,000 XAND, first two hours), Dragon (7×), Coyote (2.5×), Rabbit (1.5×), or Cricket (1.1×). Each pNode first receives its own pNode Boost Factor. This is calculated by multiplying the boost multipliers of all NFTs assigned to that specific pNode. After each pNode’s individual Boost Factor is calculated, wallet/operator-level aggregation is handled by the final backend/protocol implementation and should not be treated as a confirmed aggregation formula unless separately confirmed. Prices drop hourly over 48 hours from a high ceiling. The store features a countdown timer, high-stakes arena music (turn it on for the full experience!), a progress bar tracking pNodes purchased, and a pie chart showing remaining availability.

Important: STOINC calculations are formula-based estimates. Actual results depend on final implementation, assigned NFTs, active pNodes, storage contribution, performance, protocol parameters, and future governance updates.

Vote on the auction’s start time via the Dutch Decider app before September 5, 2025. Eligible start hours run from 17:00 PT on the previous day to 16:00 PT on the selected day / 00:00–23:00 UTC. Pledge USDC to your preferred hour; the winning time is decided by total pledges. All funds go directly to the Xandeum Foundation to support network development. The vote helps the community choose a start time before the auction begins.

3D NFTs and Boost Utility

Bernie showcased the Dutch Auction’s 3D-rendered NFTs. From the Dragon to the Titan, these NFTs animate in your wallet and carry STOINC boost utility when assigned according to the rules. Later hours offer the Coyote, Rabbit, or Cricket NFTs, while the final hours provide no NFT. Note: No NFT airdrops for previous pNode holders; these NFTs are connected to the Dutch Auction.

Herrenberg and AI Demo App: What’s Next

The Herrenberg release, nearing completion, will add early search capabilities to the storage layer, improving dApp functionality for developers building social platforms, research tools, and other data-heavy applications. It also introduces an RPC interface for querying pNodes, which can support community-built analytics sites. The team is also working on an AI-focused demo application to show how smart contract-integrated storage can support verifiable data workflows. Solana remains the main focus, with future multi-chain support still being evaluated.

Fundraising and Community Support: Why It Matters

After 2.5 years since the last major pNode sales, these auctions help fund Xandeum Foundation development, marketing, operations, and ecosystem growth. Storage fee outcomes depend on network adoption, application usage, active pNodes, performance, and final protocol parameters. Follow official Xandeum channels for current details and updates.
