The Xandeum DAO introduced an updated XAND staking program designed to give participants more control, flexibility, and DAO voting utility.
What's New?
Starting December 10, 2024, participants could unstake XAND tokens whenever they chose. The staking program was connected with the DAO, allowing participants to vote in governance and, under the program rules at that time, receive annual XAND staking rewards.
Accessing Your XAND Balance and Voting Power
To view your XAND balance and voting power, simply connect your wallet to the Xandeum DAO platform: https://app.realms.today/dao/XAND. You'll find your XAND balance displayed under "voting power."
Withdrawal Flexibility
Participants could withdraw all or part of their XAND from the DAO at any time, subject to the current interface and program rules.
Governance Participation
Keeping XAND in the DAO lets participants take part in governance and vote on Xandeum proposals.
Introducing Constant Lockup
The constant lockup option was introduced for participants who wanted to lock XAND in the DAO for at least 30 days. Under the program rules at that time, this could provide:
- Staking rewards: Program-specific XAND staking rewards through March 31, 2025, after which a new rate would be decided by DAO vote.
- Boosted voting power: Voting power could increase up to 2x depending on the duration of the lockup.
